The W9M series furnaces are "Single-Stage" gas furnaces designed to save you money on utility bills. These high efficiency, energy star® rated condensing gas furnaces come with a 90%+ efficiency rating. Since the flue gases are at a much lower temperature, the furnace may be vented vertically or horizontally with schedule 40 PVC or ABS pipe. Plus, the unit is Air Conditioning ready with an adjustable speed blower motor for maximum comfort. In addition, these furnaces are factory assembled, wired and tested to assure safe, dependable and economical operation. These furnaces are designed for both residential and commercial installations where the ambient temperature will not fall below 32°F (0°C).

The main difference between a High Efficiency Single Stage Furnace and a High Efficiency 2-Stage Furnace is that a single stage furnace runs at one BTU rate (Full Capacity) every time there is a call for heat. Where as a 2-stage furnace operates at a  lower BTU Rate in the 1st Stage of heating (about 1/2 capacity) which uses less fuel, and will switch to 2nd Stage (full capacity) on colder days when the 1st stage is no longer adequate to maintain the desired set point on your thermostat.

A 2-stage high efficiency gas furnace is similar to owning two furnaces- one for mild winter days and one for colder winter days.  In addition, the furnace will offer a more even distribution of heat and operate a quieter.

WUT series gas furnaces are available for upflow only applications and provide higher efficiencies, increased comfort levels and quiet unit operation. These high efficiency, energy star® rated condensing gas furnaces are designed for residential and commercial installations in a basement, closet, alcove, recreation room or garage where the ambient temperature is above 32°F. They may be either side wall or vertically vented using schedule 40 PVC or ABS pipe type combustion air and vent piping. All units are factory assembled, wired and tested to assure dependable and economical installation and operation.
